My mil has a bakery and always makes our cakes, especially dd's. It is something she enjoys doing for her. But we had a death in the family. Her uncle died at 84 (natural causes) and she being the oldest child is obviously going to help her dad arrange the funeral which is out of state. That being said making the cake is now not going to happen and she feels horrible but I told her it was fine. I have another lady I buy cakes from so I called her with my emergency and she thankfully said yes.
DD's has chosen a hello kitty theme and we are going with dark pink and black on the cake. Now you have to have some vision but it will be a mix of these two cakes:

The cake will be pink like the first one all over. The top and last layers will have the squiggly design in black. The top will have the pink feather and number 7. The middle will have Hello Kitty on it here and there around the cake and the bottom will have my dd's name.
I chose strawberry for the top layer, then chocolate, then strawberry again. Do you think itll look ok?
