  • I'm reading a book about astronomy called Essential facts about the Universe.  It says that particles of antimatter cannot exist in close proximity to particles of matter. They annihilate each other releasing huge amounts of energy.

  • I will have to think about and research this a little more. I'm headed out the door right now, but will answer better later.

In a nutshell, what I believe is this: If God exists, then God is identical to the Universe. Essentially, if God exists at all, God must be absolutely *everything* that exists.

Anyone interested in the Pandeist Theorem can read it here. I'm not sure how that really explains the purpose of antimatter though... it really doesn't, I suppose. *shrugs*

  • DS was up late last night, so I put on "Story of the Universe" for him until the medicine kicked in, and it covered the part about the antimatter to matter ratio being one billion to one billion one, so that for every billion particles of matter destroyed by antimatter, there was one particle of matter left, which is what is still here to be part of everything. That seems rather counter-intuitive behavior for something that is designed. Create a whole bunch of something, and at the same time create almost but not quite as much of something else that will destroy it, then let them all destroy each other in a moment, so that 380,000 years later, planetoids and stars can begin to form.

  • Don't know, and I'm quite content in us not knowing. But I am positive that in the end, we will know. I'm ok with mystery. More concerned with humanity than trying to disprove the existence of God. So much more satisfying making a change then trying to disprove something.

  • Blue screen of death and it had to be reset?

Oh oh oh oh!!! I know!!! That's what happens when the creator accident spills paint thinner on a freshly painted picture.

  • I will ask God when I see Him. Seriously. There are things I will never know until I am with God. He has promised to revealall things.

  • I'm not really feeling the need to second- guess the Creator about his creation.

Possibly tomorrow if I'm really bored.

Today I feel that it's futility since there's nothing to do about it anyways.

  • wow! dang...never thought of that! DH & i just watched that recently and it didnt even occur to me. if i recall correctly didnt they say that the antimatter destroying the matter caused the creation of planets & stars...cant remember. i usually focus on the fact that there just happened to be one extra piece of matter.
