Anyone who ever had a IUD, did you ever experience this?

ever since i had the darn thing put in me it caused me alot of pain and alot of weight gain, plus bloating. when i got it taken out the pain still was still there and i have had it out since 07. so my ? is has anyone experienced this and if so what was it? i am going to doctor tommorrow but i just wanted to get some insight about it. thank u

I never had any problems with my IUD. Did you use the kind with hormones on it? I didn't, my body hates foreign hormones. I never had any kind of pain either. Good luck! I would go to a different doc than the one who put it in for sure.

I've had cramping with my IUD, to some degree, nothing severe. Never affected my weight. I've been dealing with my weight my whole life, and I'm now losing weight, even with the Mirena.
