3 Bumps

I am so angry I could spit nails

I am in college and I was going to University of Phoenix but they refused to let my transcripts go to my new school claiming I owed money which I didnt. I posted about this before. I finally paid them last week with some of my tax money.

The new college I go to has my temp transcripts so they know what classes I have taken and what I havent. One class was a critical thinking class only they call it something else. I had already gotten a B at UOP for the same class which I have to say is much harder there than at the college I am at now. I breezed through this class because I knew most of the answers without having to read much of the book at all.

I just got a notice saying I got a D in my class. Now there is no reason why I would. I have all my papers and can log into the class and clearly see I have a B once again. I could have gotten an A but my dd got strep, a virus, and the stomach flu all during the course of this class so I was a little off track juggling homework, doctor appts, taking care of her etc. But I told the school about that.

Now I dont know what to do. I know my old college is sending my transcripts now. Do you think once they see that I already took this class and passed theyll just give me the credit? They are trying to say itll affect my financial aid, but I still am not seeing how exactly I even failed?

  • Have you asked the teacher why he/she gave you a D? When all your class work looked like you were getting a B?

  • Have you contacted the instructor to find out what is going on? Could be just a typo. If not, I would take all your work and a copy of the B to student affairs or the dean if the instructor is of no help.

  • Usually you'll get "warning semester" to improve your GPA. Talk with your financial aid advisor.

  • I am in the process of doing that now. I emailed them everything showing the lowest grade I got was a C+ and that was on a 1 page paper when my dd had strep.
