  • this does NOT mean you are some serial killer waiting to snap
    that is silly

    it is just a dream

maybe he knows that you are overextended, too many things going at once and you need a break
husband has some feelings that you are overworked, and maybe some guilt he is unable to help out more
let me help you with something
tell me - can you please clean the garage this weekend or fix the vaccuum - anything
tell him that this will help you out SO MUCH, let him think that his chore will be of great comfort to you
this may relieve some of his feelings that you are doing too much

    * are you doing too much? have you expressed overwhelming feelings to him?
NOT that you have caused this, every mom is overextended(some sometimes very) you may have just needed to say this outloud - men will want to fix, and he can not so he dreams of something like this

maybe cut back on horror flicks too - next movie make

  • did he watch any TV show or movie that had that premise or a similar premise in it??? Your mind often works out things we see as well as general things occurring in life. It's possible his dreams were based on something he saw or heard about that's completely not related to you.

here's some examples on my dh and his dreams....

  • I know my dh has some strange dreams based on things we watch. He talks in his sleep, so sometimes it's funny and sometimes I just wish he'd wake up - for example, we watch any show that has a snake in it and in the near future he'll "wake up" (except he's completely asleep), rip the covers off the bed, turn on the light and be terrified of the snake he knows is in the bed but then can't find it. OR any show that has people fishing - he "wakes up" choking because he's been hooked just like a fish. OR we watch a movie with a stranger that breaks into a house (or he reads about it in the national news) and he "wakes up" freaking out because someone is in the room and he goes looking about the bedroom for them (of course he's naked and doesn't take anything with him to defend himself, but maybe in his dream he has something).
    Our minds are strange things

  • Totally agree with Fiatpax! and with a newborn in the house i'm sure he's feeling overwhelmed too and just wants to help you not be stressed.
