  • Is there a lot of swelling or just a tiny area where she hit it?

I think that she's probably fine unless she still complaining that it is hurting her or if the swelling gets much worse. I'd keep an eye out on her and just watch to see how she does over the next few hours.

  • What is the deal with these "toy" questions today. Just got a message from hannalove in regards to "drowing an annoying toy"... REALLY?!?!?!?!

I'll answer this because if it is hannalove and I'm being suckered, I don't really care... but if it is a real message the answer is simple - if you feel it's bad enough to go to the doctor - then go! If you dd is having trouble moving, go right away! If you don't think it's bad enough, then put some ice on it, keep on eye on her and see how she does. Kids fall, kids get hurt, but kids also recover - every fall doesn't need a trip to the doctor - use your best judgement. Without being there to see how bad it is, no one here can tell you what you should do.

  • Is it bruised? Is she having trouble walking, or did it bleed at all?

  • Did she break the toy? Is it making an obnoxious noise? Maybe you should put it in the same room with the alarm clock and the smoke detector.

Not the same person. This is someone who just needs our help.

  • If you're worried enough to post it here on CM then you should call the doctor. Even if it's for peace of mind. We are not doctors. That is their job and there is no question or phone call too silly or irritating to a doctor. They are there for our kids.
