Question 2 moms with more than one child that are pregnant again...

I want to ask moms with more than one baby and pregnant again. Leg Cramps or Charlie Horses in your legs maybe wakes u out of your sleep making u cry...maybe scaring ur hubby out of his sleep too. Do u think that is a sign of labor coming on??? I started having leg cramps or charlie horses in my legs for a few days now and ever since they started ive been feeling lots of pressure and pains ive never felt with my other babies but i also have some pains i get every pregnancy.

  • leg cramps and charlie horses are a sign that you are lacking in one or more electrolytes - calcium, potassium, sodium. Chances are it's not sodium (our diets have far too much) but probably one of the others. Have a couple bananas and see if that helps.

  • I'm one pregnancy number 4, but I had AWFUL charlie horses with my first. Bananas did help A LOT! Also, if they're in your calves, flex your foot. Sometimes it hurts MORE to flex it, but only for a second, and it will almost instantly take away the knot in your leg.

    Good luck!

  • Like everyone else said, eat your bananas! I try to eat at least a half a banana every day and it keeps the charlie horses away :) I get them with every pregnancy, it is one thing that I can count on.

  • The only thing that helped me was a bananna every night and a huge glass of water before bed. Good luck:)

  • With my first, I had charlie horses about 2-3 times a week from about 28 weeks till birth. Seemed no matter what I ate they would still happen. When it happens, just flex your toes or try to get up to walk around (as hard as it may be). Thats what i would always do, and it helped it go away significantly faster. And my calf would hurt for days as well! Hopefully theres some relief soon!
