  • I took a BF class when I was still in the hospital(DH didn't go to this but my DS did) after my DS was born and if you decide to take a childbirth(DH did go) class they talk a bit about BF,delivery options,baby-care etc,.Good Luck & Congrats.

  • Ideally, they teach you what you need to know about breastfeeding. Some classes aren't quite so good. You CAN take your husband, don't have to.

  • I took my husband when I was pregnant with my first - I wanted him to help me remember everything if I forgot! It was extremely helpful, especially in answering all the types of questions that people usually ask here about supply, latching on, etc. They taught different types of holds, how to teach baby to latch on, what to do if your nipples hurt/are sore, how to ensure your baby is getting enough, etc. It was great and I would recommend it to everyone who is having a baby!
