I feel like I am going to die soon

For the past few years I have had really bad lower stomach pain and haven't been able to find out why the pain is there, I had an ultrasound about 1.5 years ago and they didn't find anything, but for the past few days I have had the most painful pains in my life! A sharp pain will just come up and it feels like a knife is stabbing me in the lower part of my belly, I had an IUD and its lost they cant find it (I have an ultrasound tomorrow to find it) the doctor said that my pain is not due to the pain cause the pain is to high, I am starting to get really scared wondering if I really am going to die or whats wrong with me. They took my blood today and told me that they were going to check my white blood count. I have never had this kind of medical problem before and I don't know what to do.. Do you think its OK, have you had pain like this before what did they do?

  • Make sure the IUD is found and removed.
Doctors will cover for each other.

  • You may feel better once the IUD is removed. Regardless, see if you can get a referral to a gastroenterologist or an internist. They'll likely be able to pin down what's causing your pain.

Was an US the only diagnostic test you had done?

  • i agree with the IUD - finding and removing
if doc wants scan to find where it is - how can he say that that is not cause of pain
it very well could be cause of pain
even if it is not that high, the pain could be from it
hoping you get that removed smoothly and pain ends
