  • ILMP- How long did it work for you though? I know as you get older you ovulate more than once per month...(So that may be why you got pregnant)

  • It didn't....I got pregnant about 5 months after we got married, had a miscarriage and got pregnant 3 weeks after that. Then I got Mirena and got pregnant again! Family Planning doesn't seem to work for us at all.

  • That's very possible. I have been married 19 years & did have fertility problems throughout. I still would not just rely on that method if you really do NOT want to get pregnant. I had my Son 5 years ago & since then we haven't used any protection but my DH was being careful & we avoided sex during supposed ovulation time. If it is not an issue for your if you do get pregnant, I would rather use nothing or condoms as opposed to birth control pills or any other birth control method with hormones in it. I was on the pill when I was younger & had some issues with it regarding my health. GL!

  • I haven't used it for a long period of time but when we have used it, it worked for us. We used it for a year in between ds #2 and dd. We got pregnant on the first try when we decided to get pregnant again. We then used it after dd until this pregnancy. That was about 18 months.
