  • The thing about stopping contractions is... they're giving your body a chemical that's slapping your brain on the hand and saying "NO! NO CONTRACTIONS!"
What happens to a dog after you've fussed it for pooping on the carpet? Chances are, it may try it one more time... or it may never do it again.
Women who have had premature labor contractions that have been stopped are more likely to need Pitocin to get started when it's actually time for labor, because the chemical they give you tells your brain NOT to go into labor again.
Basically, if this is the first time they've had to do it, there is a chance it could happen again or that it won't and you will go into labor when the time is right. If they've had to do it more than once, there is a higher chance that it won't happen again and you'll need labor to be started for you later on.
Just take it easy and don't stress yourself. Stay light on your feet and RELAAAAX!

  • i also had contractions starting at 6months and it was done just by my daughter being a pain and they would have to go and stop them after a while she gave in and stayed put till 39 weeks so hang in there and don't stress all will work out for you and baby in the end good luck
