  • Yes, it's easy and economical to reuse cooking oil.. if it has cooking chunks in it, strain it through some coffee filters.

  • Yes, most times you can reuse it at least once. If you cook something strongly flavored or scented, however, it could make the next food you fry taste/smell like the previous food. In other words, don't reuse oil for fish unless you're frying more fish or want your chicken to taste of fish.

    Use multiple layers of cheesecloth for best straining. Coffee filters work as well. If you're really desperate, a couple paper towels will do in a pinch!
