  • Hey - he IS the Messiah in the media's eyes, remember? He's been their "son" from the get go and they will be sure to advise us every time a member of the Obama family takes a poo!

  • They would probably be the same way if McCain/Palin had won. They would be all over what her kids were wearing. The country is just glad Bush is going away..Let him have his moment and in a few years if he jacks the presidency up, then the media won't be as nice.

  • this is a phoney statement...come on!!! You are a right wingnut pretending

  • This Celebration is not just because Bush is out and Obama is in. This is a most historical event in American History. Put your ideologies, prejudices and hatred aside..and see for what this really is.. a most significant event that makes for American History! Whether you like the man or not...this is still a most historical event in our nation.

  • I know I'm pretty tired of hearing about it at this point. We all know what's going on, why do we have to hear about it 24/7?

  • honestly, i don't know how many of you were around to remember other children entering the white house's front door, but the media makes a big deal out of all of them. and still do, years after their father's leave office, or has even passed on. do you think anyone would've been as concerned with john kennedy jr's accident/death, had it not been for the fact he was the child of a president, a very young child at his own father's death? amy carter..remember her? chelsey clinton, the adult-reagan never stops. they are the first family, like it or yeah, the media will have them in your face now, and for quite some time after he leaves office, whenever that is.

  • why not? if the media says so, it must be very crucial. Sarah Palin's wardrobe was more important than her words, why should the Obama's be treated any different? i was under the impression that image was the driving factor of choosing politicians.
