Crib slots

Is there anything on the market that can you use in the crib to prevent your child's legs and ankles from getting stuck in the crib slots?

I just don't understand why the can't make the slots closer so this doesn't happen. My hubby was just about to get his saw out tonight and cut it to get our baby unstuck.

I would try something like this. No risk of suffication. But use caution if you baby can stand, they sometimes use bumpers to climb out of the brib with... although this one looks like it would smash down if your baby tried to stand on it.

  • Thank you ladies. Now my other question since I looked at those links. (Both the same product, lol) I noticed in that pic that the crib is set up for newborn, meaning that the mattress is set up higher. My DD is 15 months and her mattress is at the lowest point and she seems to put her legs above where that would sit. Do you think it would be OK to buy two of them to use? Maybe over lap a little bit? She does not try to climb out yet.
