  • Gosh, we gave 5 a tooth! Up until they were losing molars. :) Then it was "Hey mom, Do I get money for this?" I would say, only if you are paying the dentist. :)

  • Personally I think 50 cents a tooth is good enough. ...Guess I'm cheap. When I Was a kid I mostly got dimes and quarters.

  • We give presidential gold coins. A dollar for the first tooth, two for the second and so on.

  • My kids get $1 no matter what tooth it is. With 3 kids all losing teeth at the same time we couldn't afford anything else. In one week over the summer, between the 3 of them, they lost 5 or 6 teeth. It was crazy.

  • Two dollars...That is what I had always given, the same for the older ones. Then one day one of the older ones lost a tooth that shouldn't have fallen out when it did...all I had was a 5, and then everyone expected 5 dollars, got expensive fast. So know I have 10 ones sitting in a drawer for just that purpose.

I give 2 dollars cause it is enough for them to get something samll if they want or save and get something bigger later.

  • My 6 year old just lost her 3rd tooth and we gave $1. I think I gave her 50 cents for the first 2 teeth. Will give more when the bigger teeth come out. They don't quite know the concept of money yet so why give so much.
