  • I live in Texas... got a divorce in Texas. There is a mandatory 60 day waiting period... but you can't count on it only being 60 days. She will not get alimony... no such thing in Texas. Now there is spousal support... but she wouldn't qualify... you have to have been married at least 10 years. Chances are she won't even get it filed as him being unfaithful...they'll file it irreconcilable differences. If she wants to go after the whole unfaithful thing... she's pay out the ass plus for the atty fees. She can ask that he have to pay all fees associated with the divorce... but in Texas with a marriage as short as 2 years.... it probably won't happen.

  • I don't know how long it takes, but you only get alimony after at least 10 years of marriage.

  • Okay, because my friend has only been married for 2 years but he cheated on her with another woman so she thought she would be getting alimony because of it.
