Can a child learn spanish by watching spanish sesame street?

Just wonder if I turn on some kid shows all in spanish if my son could pick up any of the language...

  • sure, he will pick it up - he may not get the connection so if you watch it with him and teach him that say

    UNO means one etc, then he will benefit.

  • Yes. My daughter watches Dora, which isnt all spanish but she picks up on the spanish words and knows what they mean.

  • I'm sure they'll pick up basic words. I'm Hispanic and theres words I still have trouble with but yes constant interaction with Spanish can be beneficial=)

  • For the most part yes. They will get the basics. That is how I learned French the first time.
