How long after taking diflucan, does it take to work?

Doctor only prescribed me one dose of Diflucan for my yeast infection. I took it around 630ish. But I'm wondering how long it takes to kick in and I start feeling relief?

  • You should feel better tomorrow. It's usually a one dose treatment. If it is really resilient another dose may be needed in a few days.

  • I'm a nursing student and I looked it up in my drug book and the onset (when it kicks in) is unknown, but its action peaks at 1 to 2 hours after you took it, and it stays in your system for 30 hours. It's possible that It may take that whole time to resolve the infection.
