  • so besides diarrhea he seems fine? make sure to keep fluids up and keep him hydrated and you can have him eat bananas and rice which can help make poo a bit more solid. :) bananas also contain b vitamins, which help with metabolism.

  • BRAT...banana, rice, applesauce, toast.

In addition to that, anything that normally constipates him...let him have how much he wants. If it makes him runny...avoid it at all costs.

    Starch, starch, carbs, carbs.......

No juice, no pedialyte, no gatorade...the sugar in them makes diarrhea worse. Stick with water and milk (if he normally has no problem with it)

  • yes the pedialyte always made my kids worse and if they didnt have it to begin w the pedialyte would give them the runs after a few days of drinking it. the dr.s will tell you to just let it run its course

  • most problems like this are caused by a virus. as any ped will tell you, you have to ride it out with a virus. so, hydrate him/her. water, water, water. that's all you can do. and don't let him/her sit in the wet/poopy diaper as this will definitely cause diaper rash which is undoubtedly the worst part of having this problem.
    worry not. just hydrate.

  • Keep him hydrated. Please dont try to constipate. It will upset his tummy. Keep A&D in the diaper area to prevent rash. Keep him drinking.
