how long do cats stay in heat?

my cat wants to go out side so badly and she was in heat not to long ago that i know of, is it safe to throw her out now and not have any kittens or should i keep her inside until i can get the money to get her spayed?

  • Keep her inside. I believe that is lasts close to a month. Get her spayed as soon as you can. The local humane society is usually the cheapest.

  • i would keep her inside til she gets fixed. my cat stays in heat about 2 weeks. and its so annoying her roewing and pushing her butt in there air. im gettin my fixed ASAP

  • i think cats stay in heat forever you don't get them fixed haha. even when my moms cat wasn't in heat, if a boy came around it put her into heat. don't risk it.
