  • I would just keep trying. Cereal is such a different texture than anything else. She just may not be ready to eat from a spoon. Don't get discouraged. Just try again next week. Good luck!

  • well, the tricky thing is that applesauce is realllllly sweet. You need to stay away from sweets if at all possible. You can mix anything with the cereal but i would suggest veggies rather than sweet stuff. I mean, who would want to eat bland ole veggies and cereal ifyou can have the sweet stuff? good luck!

  • add a little sugar to the cereal. That always worked for me.

  • I wouldn't add sugar..JMO. Instead I mix Jesse's fruits and veggies with cereal. If she likes applesauce mix it with the cereal..its not like its a Snickers..its applesauce..again JMO. I never give Jesse just plain cereal if I'm not mixing it with some food I just give him a cereal bottle.

  • Mix the applesauce with thinned cereal. If that does not help I used a force feeder (tho I never forced it) so they could suck from that. Sometimes you have to go with what works =)

  • I'd wait until she is ready and if she is less than 6 months old, I'd wait until then before giving anything else.

  • make the cereal very thin...not much thicker than formula or breastmilk. then just keep trying. i started trying with my daughter at 4 months, but she screamed so much about it that i quit trying and waited until 5 months. then i made the cereal very thin at first and gradually thickened it as she got used to it. hope this helps!
