  • Are you putting alcohol on it ??? I would call the doctor. But it could take a little longer to fall off.

  • my DD's stayed on for like 3 1/2 weeks because i thought oyu only had to put alcohol on it 1 time a day but then my friend said dab it with alcohol with each and every diaper change and 3 days later it came off

  • If they put that blue dye stuff on it then it tends to take a little while to fall off. Still, 3 weeks is kind of long, but if you have an appointment soon I wouldn't rush in, but if it's not for a few weeks you might want to check it out.

  • They put the blue due on my little girl's cord, and it just fell off a couple days ago. She turned 3 wks yesterday. I was told it can take up to 21 days, which is 3 wks. But they told me to put alcohol on it 3-4 times a day, but I did it with almost every diaper change just because it made me queezy to look at it sometimes. Just apply alcohol a little more often.

  • I was told not to put anything on it....especially alcohol! What happens when you put alcohol in one of your own open wounds?

Some will take longer than others to come off. Just keep it clean and dry.

  • Normal. And half the doctors nowadays say not to put anything on it.
