PERMANENT TOENAIL REMOVAL

Ok.. so ive had ingrown toenail problems for 5 years.. i had it taken off twice once and then had it done permanently.. i just had the sides done and had acid put on them..my dr told me to soak twice a day with epsom salt and take my antis.. ive been on two rounds of them and its still drainage.. is it normal? It was done about 3 weeks ago? maybe two.. the nail looks great but the skin is red and draining.. i had a infection when it was taken off.. also.. she never mentioned about airing it out.. i know it needs air so how long should i air it each day.. ive had it completely covered since surgery.. thanks..

  • Yeah I would call to because my friend had his removed and they told him he can keep it open for a few minutes but not to long. They said they didn't want his toe to be open for infections

  • My son is supposed to have this done on Friday- and we were told he'd be fine to go back to school on Monday...
They said it would be the same as when they cut out the ingrown part 7 weeks ago. 2-3 days and he was fine

  • Cool... I have a DV stalker!! Really, DV'ed for telling someone that they need to call their doc... which as a medical professional I can honestly say is the correct way to handle this. WOW... someone's really got their panties in a wad!! LOL
