Haggling in Mexcio?

I'm going on vaction to Mexico next week:) I can pay for all of my activities online ahead of time and save 20-40%, but somebody told me not to do this, because I will be able to haggle when I get there and get a better deal. Is this true? Or what do you think? Thank you.

  • I'm sure it is. I know that I could haggle when I lived in Italy. The vendors et al know that Americans will just accept the price in front of them without a haggle because aside from flea markets and garage sales, haggling is pretty much nonexistent in our society. And activities may be cheaper when you are actually in Mexico because of the dollar/peso exchange rate.
