  • Motrin is for fever and pain. It has no ingredients that would help a runny nose.

  • I'd go for saline nasal spray (like ocean brand , there are other ones) and rinse her out, that way shes not taking medications, and it keeps the nose clean, my kids never take medications, unless they've got a fever, then they get tylenol, and the spray, is effective in cleaning out the nose, our ped has 4 kids , and told us about this, and it has worked ever since!!! My kids never have nasty noses, some saline , and kleenex, and they are good to go, they will protest it though!!!

  • But!!! Check to make sure the medicine isn't on a recall list, and make sure its weight appropriate. Weight is sooo much more important than age!!!!
