weight concern

how much should a 10mth old boy weigh?My son weighs 20 pds, but he eats like he should.Is that below average? Should I be concerned?

  • No, My 10 month old weighs 18 or 19..Ped, said it was fine, he isn't below average.

  • Sounds fine to me. My oldest son was only 21 lbs. at 12 months and my daughter was only 20 lbs. at her 12 month check up. They were both totally healthy!

  • None of mine hit 20 pounds until after one year, and they are all very healthy. It sounds to me like you have a big boy!

  • he really doesnt look that big to fact he looks little lol. Maybe its because he is so tall! Thanks ladies this makes me feel better!

  • That sounds right. My son is 7 months old and he has always been on the bigger side (9lbs+) at birth. He weighs about 19 lbs right now.

  • Is he still close to the same percentile he's always followed? That's the important thing.

    Admittedly he is little compared to mine...they were 20lbs at 6 months. lol
