trying to potty train 2 year old girl

my daughter is 2 years and 9 months old. i've been trying for the past few months to potty train her. she was really interested at first, and would pee on it a few times a week. but now she doesn't wanna go on it.she likes wearing her underwear and she knows when she has to go, and she tells me. she will sit on it when she says she has to go(a few times a day) but usually she wont pee on it. she holds her pee in all day, and i don't know know why. like yesterday, she wore her underwear from 10 am till i put her to bed at 8pm and didn't use the bathroom that whole time. she just waited until i put her in a diaper and went to bed to pee and ended up wetting herself. i feel like i should be really worried about it. has anyone else gone through something like this?

  • Well we're potty training our DD right now at the same age. What we have been doing is she got one m&m for just trying to go the first week, then one the second week only if she went on the potty. Now she gets 2 ms for going without being told, one if we have to tell her. We're planning on starting next week that she only gets ms for going poop on the potty. This rewards system has done well for her. At first she was the same way and would just hold it till she had a diaper. Hope this helps a little.
