potty training is he ready?

my son is 13 months old and he knows that when your done using the bath room you put the lid down and flush the toliet. he can flush the toliet by himself. the doctors and myself know that he is advanced for his age. i was thinking about buying him a potty to sit beside the toliet so whenever we got to the bathroom he can too. does anyone think its too early to start potty training him.

  • not at all. you want to make sure he understands what the potty is used for though. he may just think its a game. be sure he knows when he did number 1 or number2. if he cant grasp the concept yet of that feeling hes not ready and youll frustrate yourself trying to get him to understand. so work on that, and then you can potty train. but its never too early to start!

  • Its never to early to try. Go for it! Now is the time to to introduce him to potty training. Just try to be patient as they will eventually get used to it.

  • If they show an interest jump on it! He'll feel no pressure and he'll lose and gain interest as time goes on. My DD was like that at teh same age. She's used the potty for a while then stopped, started and stopped. Now she gets rewards for using it and is into it again.
