If I get married to my boyfriend can me and my daughter live on base with him if he hasn't legally adopted her?

  • There are registered sex offenders in the military, it's rare, but it has happened. But to answer the original question, yes your dd can live in base housing if you were to marry your bf. She would be listed as his dependant and would qualify for all the benefits that would be provided to a biological child.

  • They would not let a registered sex offender into the military, and yes you can live on base with him . He can put your child as his dependent and they will be able to have free medical care as well. You can call tricare directly for medical benefit info. Second you do not have to live on base if you are married. You can live off base and the army gives you a housing allowance. If you choose to live on base then you can.

  • Yes, unless there is a legally documented custody agreement against it. Or if your BF is a registered sex offender, then you could lose custody.
