Ever make a black bottom pie? You can do it with chocolate, banana, or coconut cream pies. Make a pastry crust and blind bake it. Melt 4 ounces of chocolate with 1/4 cup heavy cream and "paint" all over the baked crust and let set until chocolate sets up. Make your cream filling (start with a basic pastry cream, then add cream of coconut or bananas or melted chocolate) and fill the crust, then make whipped cream to top it. Garnish with dried bananas, toasted coconut, or chocolate shavings.
