When did you first start trying to give your baby/babies a sippy cup?

Just curious about when people first tried to give their baby a sippy cup and how it worked out.

  • Good question. My son is 5 months old and we just started giving him sips of his formula out of cups. He really seems to do well with it so we were just discussing getting him a sippy cup tonight! I guess we'll give it a try.

  • I introduced the sippy at 6months with my first...i put juice in it. Watered down of course. She was weaned completely off the bottle at 10 months old. My 2nd is only 3 months so its a little soon to try it.

  • I started giving him his cup when i started giving him food- 6 months. i use a sippy cup, and sometimes paper cup so i can bend it and it won't spill everywhere. i only give him water though.
