How can I organize?

I have about four years worth of paperwork, business and personal. It is so overwhelming, where do I start? I bought storage bins and boxes, but don't know where to begin. HELP!

  • First of all you sort them out .2 piles. 1 business, 1 personal.

    Then you go threw each and see if there are any papers that you can throw away.

    That should get you started

  • I'd start by getting rid of any of it that wasn't necessary to keep. Did you buy those filing storage boxes like from OfficeMax that file folders fit neatly into? Just come up with a filing system that's easy for you to use. File by year and subject?
