I only have half the vanilla needed for chocolate chip cookies are they going to taste bad?

  • No, they'll be fine. Try rinsing out the bottle with a tiny bit of water to get all the flavoring out that you can. And if you some other flavoring, such as almond, consider making up the difference with that. But half the vanilla will still be good.

  • I use spiced rum in all my recipes that call for vanilla. If you have a little liquor you like you can substitute that. Doing w/o won't kill them..they will just not have as much flavor.

  • They'll be fine. You can add a tiny bit of almond extract if you have it, or a little bit of bourbon if you have that. Or just use what you have. You probably won't even notice a difference.
