  • All spouses are invited to hail and farewell's, funerals, and ceremonies. Only difference is as the service member gains rank, their spouse can be asked to be FRG leaders, committee members, hosts for functions, and things like that.

  • Do you mean what ranks are the husbands of Senior spouses in things like KKey Wives or NCO Clubs? E7,8s & 9s. respectively. Spouses themselves have no rank unless they too are on Active Duty or are retired.

  • Yes The rank of the husband, I hear alot about senior spouses being envited to dinners or hail and fairwells or whatever.. I think they also act as mentors for newly arriving spouses.

  • I know spouses don't have rank but some have responsibilities based on the husbands rank, in the army for example .... the wife of a colonel is expected to go to certain functions including funerals. The spouse of the commander or first sgt is usually and FRG leader.

  • Yes 1stSGT wife's and SGT Major wife are sometimes expected to do certain things. Officers wife are just snooty bitches. JMO

  • Ive never been invited to a hail and farewell, then again our frg just started about a year ago so its not quite together yet.
