Anyones husband a diesel mechanic in the us army? Mine was. Need help on resume

DH is asleep, yes he should be doing this but he isnt and i dont really want to get into why. He was a light and heavy duty diesel mechanic for 7 years in the army. No i dont know what he did other then work on diesel trucks and 5 tons, He knows how to use a fork lift, tractor, trailer. but hes applying for winco where house like stocking. Im no good in writing things and i need some help. At least from you lovely ladies to give me some advice on what to write if your husband was in the US ARMY recently and with the same MOS. it was 63B now it is 91B for light heavy duty diesel mechanics.

  • My husband was infantry but he used his DD-214 to write down his official accomplishments, awards, and medals on an application when he got out. Also, here is a job description for 91B- http://usmilitary.about.com/od/enlistedjobs/a/63b.htm. Hope this helps.

  • Any leadership courses, awards, medals, licenses, classes, special training, and things like that should also go on the resume. He should have had a military driver's license, which is very relevant to the job he's applying for. But, all of the informaiton you need should be on his DD214 and the link for the job description. You can also check his ERB if you have trouble finding his DD214.
