My soon to be ex husband and I have a 10 month old son together. He was abusive to me he held guns to my head, choked me, hit me. And he is trying to get full custody her our son and for me to have visitation. I am no way unfit, I don't do drugs nor do I drink. We both have lawyers I am hoping more on 50/50 then him have custody. What our my chances?Answer Question

Unless you have documented and called the police when he has abused you then it would be hard for you to prove. Were there any witnesses? If not, then it becomes a hearsay thing.
I would go for a traditional custody arrangement where he pays child support and gets every other weekend and one night for dinner during the week. You will usually trade off even / odd years for holidays and both of you get the child on your birthdays, but the child's birthday applies to the even / odd split.
If he is as abusive as you say he is, I would try to keep the child away from him as much as possible. Consult with an attorney to find out what your options are.

Wanted to mention that it all depends on your state's laws and the judge hearing your case. You need legal representation. Even if you have his abuse of you on record, some states and judges don't consider that when it comes to the child. If they haven't harmed the child then they will likely get visitation of some kind. I believe that unless there is something documented as far as his behavior with the child that he will probably get unsupervised visits.
Good luck, OP.
