Church on Easter?

I have no idea, there certainly were a lot of people at mass yesterday that I had never seen before.

Family invited them? It would be harder to turn down going to an important event like Easter than a typical Sunday service.

we dont always go, but we went yesterday b/c my mom wanted to see the kids in their Easter clothes...since she bought them.

ive also found that Easter services are usually better than other services...like the minister tries harder since there is a good chance there will be more ppl there.

good question..i've always wondered this myself, having been a lifelong regular attender, holiday or not.
i mean, what do you get out of one or two services a year (let's not forget Christmas/Mass,etc.)? why even bother? get all worked up over what to wear/new shoes, etc., to those one or two services...lol.

Some people go with family to make them happy. For me personally, that why I do it now. When I was Catholic, I used to go on Christmas and Easter because I usually worked later shifts those days. I work straight weekends, I work twelve hour shifts, I couldn't make it on Saturday night, nor could I make it to any time on Sunday. Maybe there are other people in similar situations?

Why do you think I do not go on the other Sundays?
