my doc told me yesterday that they will not induce anyone unless they are 39 weeks, law or something like that, wondering if anyone else got told the same thing..... (doc won't induce me cause all the tests came back neg for preeclampcia, but i still have terrible symptoms of it and i am measuring at 43 cm) with my 1st they took him at 36 weeks, i am 38 weeks now but still!!!

Why would you want to be induced? They baby is ready when they choose to be. Just let it happen. Pregnancy is not easy, think about your baby and just suck it up a bit longer. If your doc truly believes you need it done then he/she will.

I don't think it is a law, really what your doctor prefers to do. It also depends on your situation and whether or not it warrants an induction. Three out of my five labors were induced but it was because I was already dilated to 5 cm.
