Does gripe water really soothe infants i've been giving it to my daughter

she's 10 months old but i don't feel that it works.. i don't give it regularly

  • I found it was better during that gassy period in the first few months of life....and I only found one brand that actually helped (and it was LIQUID GOLD). Now that my daughter is older though...I don't find that it helps with anything.

  • It depends on what is wrong and it depends on the baby.

    Just like some adults swear tylenol is the best thing for their headaches and other adults will swear it doesn't do a thing.

    Gripe water helps calm upset tummies - like a Tums for you. It can also help get rid of hiccups. But it doesn't calm down upset babies if they don't have an upset tummy. You might try teething tablets for calming down upset or cranky babies.
