What program do you use to edit pictures?

I entered some of my pictures in a contest and one of them was selected today. However, the picture that mine is up against has been edited. It's a beautiful picture. So, I was wondering what type of program can I use to edit pictures?

  • Photoshop Elements (around $100) or Paint.net (free)

  • I have used Picnik for about four years now, but they are closing on the 19th. I am sooo sad to see them go. I edit all my eBay pictures on there. I have bookmarked these though, which others have suggested:

  • Just Microsoft Office Picture Manager or sometimes befunky.com for special effects or watermarking the photos.

  • I use photoshop CS4 but you can use paint, picassa, less expensive versions of photoshop, or whatever photo stuff came on your computer which usually lets you do minor adjustments for red eye and maybe some color balance and special effects.
