How do you get a baby to eat when they don't want to?

I have 11 week old twin girls and I have trouble getting them to eat without them falling to sleep.

  • Take off their socks and tickle their feet when they're falling asleep while eating. Or get a cold washrag and put it on their foot or touch their face with it when they fall asleep.

  • Oh forgot to add that it's not necessarily that they don't want to eat. It's just that the warm milk soothes and calms them, putting them in a relaxed state, making them go to sleep. :-)

  • undress them down to their diapers... if they are slightly chilly (not cold) they will usually stay awake

  • Can you hold off on the milk till towards the end of the meal? How about making the milk cold?
