My son has this really terrible diaper rash. It's really red, and chapped, and the skin is breaking a little. I don't understand how it got this bad, I change his diaper every two hours. The only thing i can come up with is that he poops like 8 times a day, literally, so it's a little hard to keep him dry. I don't know what to do about it anymore. I've tried desitin, and some lotions and powders, but nothings working. Does anyone have any suggestions?Answer Question

Have you tried the Desitin Creamy? I accidentally bought the ointment once and it smelled horrible, was hard to put on and didn't work nearly as well as the Creamy version.
My daughter had some real sensitive skin as a baby and would get these horrible red sores on her butt from diaper rash. We switched to Pampers Sensitive Skin wipes and stocked up on Desitin Creamy. I could slather her butt with the cream and cause little to no discomfort to her while I did it. I could almost always see some healing from one diaper change to the next.
