At what age did your little one start crawling/walking or both?

Just curious.

My daughter is almost 11 months old and she still has yet to even try to do either. Even with assistance.

So I am just looking for a little advice on any help I can provide her?

  • Just make sure she had plenty of time to play on the floor...try putting a few of her favorite toys JUST out of her reach. She'll work for it eventually!

1...crawled at 6 months 1 week, walked at 10 months
2...crawled at 8 months and walked at 9 months 1 week
3...crawled at 7 months and walked at 11 months (10 adjusted)

    Yeah...they were early.

  • The only advice I can give is to spend as much tummy time on the floor as you can!! Put things just out of reach and have her try to crawl to them. My daughter was crawling around 5 1/2 months and walking at 7 1/2 months. Some babies just decide to do things a little slower and I am sure she is just fine. Like I said spending as much time on your tummy WITH her on the floor and playing with her will help alot.

  • My LO is trying to crawl as well as stand up in the middle of the room w/o pulling up on anything. A little nervous that she will walk early. She will be 7 Mo next week. Just remember that every baby develops differently.

  • My daughter just started crawling (for real) two days ago. Shes 8 1/2 months. My daughter wasn't doing it right away because shes a big fan of rolling and she was getting where she needed to go. Babies move at their own pace. Just make sure she has a lot of floor time. :)

  • Get a dog...I swear my dogs were her biggest motivation to crawl! =) VTech also makes these roll and crawl balls that light up and roll on their own. Those are also good motivation to crawl. Note...some babies skip crawling altogether and go straight to walking. Maybe yours will do that.

  • My now 18 mo old was crawling around 8 or 9 months and she walked at 11 1/2 months. She used her exersaucer and a baby activity walker, which I believe helped a lot. The exersaucer gave her leg strength and the walker gave her balance and confidence.

  • My LO started crawling 2 weeks before her first birthday, in the first week of Nov. She took her first steps just days before Christmas. She just started really walking two weeks ago.
