  • homosexuality is just great, fine and dandy..if ITS DOING YOUR HAIR, DECORATING YOUR MANSION (or middle-class wannabe w/2.5garage), ARRANGING YOUR FINE FLORALS or TEACHING YOUR CHILD VOICE OR PIANO.
now, i am not stereotyping homosexuals..we all know the game

Does this explain why the one guuy in the Boy band I aways had a crush on turned out to be the gay one? LOL

  • I believe that it was originally demonized and categorized as a sin because it was a deviation from the norm. Sex was for reproduction (not that it wasn't also pleasurable) but the main part of the marriage was to "make more of us." Therefore, make something out of the norm = bad, sinful.

In this day and age I find it ridiculous to think it is a sin. One loves who one loves, and as long as the participants are of an age of consent, good for them.

  • it was explained to me once by someone who thinks homosexuality is a sin, but no worse than any other sin. he said that ppl "fear" gays b/c they cant identify with it. they have no homosexual feelings so they think its the person choosing to be that way. they understand the want to get drunk, to lie, to have sex out of marriage, to cheat, to steal, etc. but they dont see any appeal w/ homosexuality. and to them it is ALL about the sex.

  • sin is sin. it's all equal...the person that lies will get judged the same as the person who commits a sexual sin.

  • I'll probably get lots of down votes for this but if you really want to understand why some people fear it more I hope this will help you to understand that point of view (you don't have to agree with it). There are many sins according to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (note as a Muslim I answer more from that perspective). Number 1. Homosexuality is considered unnatural and a choice (you choose to act on the homosexual desire) which has no societal value besides pleasure. While traditional heterosexual relationships produce offspring and families, homosexuality is seen as an affront to God going against the natural state of being. 2. Although many sins can be punishable by death not all of them are considered equal nor were they punished in the same way. Many sins have specified punishments which God has entrusted humans to exact under fair judgement but only a few sins were actually dealt punishment by god directly...

  • the cities of Soddom and Gomorah were destroyed largely for their homosexual activities although their general way of life which included other sins were contributing factors as well. However if one considers how grave the situation must be for God to actually enact punishment it comes off as being a pretty bad thing one that people would rightly fear. 3. Homosexuality is considered some to be almost like a "gateway drug" you allow one sin and all of the sudden other sins are ok too and before you know it you have tons of sins piling up. In Islam it would not be considered a worse sin than murder but it would be a greater sin than say drinking alcohol. Like consuming alcohol giving in to homosexual urges would be something you could repent. So it is forgivable. No matter how big or small the sin is, in Islam we are n ot supposed to make our sins known publicly so things like gay marriage are considered...

But if one were to actually stop and think about it, they'd see what an ignorant statement this is. I understand one who takes this at face value and places no further thought upon it. Just accets what is handed to them and doesn't give it any further reflection. But honestly....there is so much more to a homosexual relationship than the sexual asect. Just as in straight couples. Unless all these religious folks base their entire relationship on sex??
