Long story short, we have been suspecting my sister and her baby daddy have been taking pills, selling them and buying them illegally. They have a 1 year old who just now got out of a carrier carseat because they couldn't afford to buy a bigger car seat. The doctor told her in December he needed a bigger one. But she has on many occasions had manicures, pedicures, her hair done, and tans every week, but cant afford her child a proper car seat. I gave them $200(which I couldn't afford) to help on their rent and she has ask a few times recently for more money. I told her if she could stay out of the salon maybe they could pay their bills and get her son a proper car seat. But on 2 occasions I have been to her house a known drug dealer has showed up while we were there and I'm sorry, but I;m not stupid, my mothers pain medication has come up missing on several occasions when they come to our house (my mom lives with us). I have had pain medication come up missing back when I fell down my back stairs and sprained my leg. I got home laid my stuff on the counter because I had to go to the bathroom and while in the bathroom I hear the bag rattling so I took my stuff upstairs and counted my medicine and there were two missing. So we finally confronted her about it and she completely denies it (surprise). We try to reason with her and tell her to get help if not for herself but for her son. So ultimately she has told my mom she can't see her grandson, and I cant see my nephew. The authorities have been notified about the activities going on and they are under surveillance. I'm so angry because my mother does not deserve this and she is such a narcissistic spoiled brat. There is so much more to this but I wanted to just hit the main points. Sorry so long.

Some states do have some form of Grandparent rights in the books. But once they get busted for being crappy, drug taking, drug dealing parents, then it prob. wont be an issue. The state would rather see the kids be w/ family rather than foster care, so your nieces/nephews will be living w/ you guys while their parents get clean & get some parenting classes. Hope you're ready for some little visitors! :) I'm sure your influences will be positive ones & help them cope. :) GL to all involved!
