  • I am appalled that they will be testing on unborn babies. I have no problem with stem cell, just not embryonic stem cell research. So I guess my answer is just . . . . . sad. . . .

  • I'm thrilled! My husband's aunt has Parkinson's disease. I certainly never, ever plan on having any more children after this one, so if they want eggs, they can take all my millions. Cure my aunt!

  • I think it's sad. This research in not necessary because they still have SO far to go with the researching they have at hand. You shouldn't create life just to use it for research. It is appalling. I will never think it's okay, and I feel sorry for those that do think it's okay.

  • They don't necessarily take stem cells from embryos. A lot of times, they take stem cells from the umbilical cord after birth. If they want mine, they can have it.

  • ""You shouldn't create life just to use it for research.""

Maybe laws should be enacted in how many embryos a couple can 'create', lessening the amount of embryos left frozen in time in some cryo vac. Personally I think that is quite sad.

  • I hope that it will lead to cures for many ills. I think this is exactly like organ donation...the embryonic cells would be wasted otherwise.

Thinnk about it logically. A woman is not going to have an abortion because she can donate the embryo to science! That baby is going to be aborted in any event. At least something good might come from it.
