should i feel bad?

okay so my mom and dad had a maltese dog and they decided to get rid of him. he wasn't getting enough attention and they left him out alll the time. before they got rid of him they ended up getting another dog. so i took the maltese. i really didn't want him but i felt bad for him. well a friend of ours saw him and wanted him so i let him take him (didn't tell my parents) the other day they told me they wanted toget rid of the other dog i knew someone who wanted it so i took him and gave him to the other guy. i told her at that time that he took both dogs (again not true but not the point)she flipped out and said that maltese was a 500 dollar dog. i said you didn't want him. she said i thought you did i told her i felt bad for him and i asked if she wanted him back of course she said no but she's mad cuz i gave him away. should i feel bad about all of this?

  • No it is an animal who needed love and you found him a good home. Finding a good home for the dog is much more important then the money it cost. If she had said to begin with that she wanted to get some money for the dog I think it would be a differet story. She should be happy that you went out of your way to find happy homes for the dogs.

  • You shouldn't feel bad. You made sure that the dog went to a home where it will be loved a taken care of. I don't believe in spending that kind of money on a pet.
