When do you stop couting age by weeks?

Just wondering. Does it stop when the baby is, say three months old (12 weeks)? I don't see many people saying "Oh, my 22-week old is so and so."

So is there an exact cutoff week for when you stop counting by weeks and start counting by months?

  • I'm pretty sure I stopped counting weeks when my children were about 3 months old. Then I stopped referring to them in months by the time they turned 2 years old.

  • We stopped at 4 weeks....once he hit a month we went by months, then at a year we went by years. I do switch to total months at times for their evaluators, but that's because of the divisions for scoring.

  • I stopped after my daughter reached 4 weeks. Then she was a month. Or a little over a month. Or a month and a half. Or almost 2 month.

  • I stopped after a month. When someone says 14 weeks old, I have to convert it to months anyway. I've known people to say their 34 week old and it starts getting complicated. The same thing with months, I stopped doing months when the children hit 1 year. When people say my 20 month old, then I think well that is between 1 1/2 and 2. I think 1 1/2 is close enough and easier to understand, but then, this is just my very humble opinion.
