Can you recommend any books that deal with talking to young children about difficult topics?

  • Here's an article that talks about that:

It suggests the books by Marc Brown. He wrote a series of books with Laurie Krasny Brown called the Dino Life Guides for Families. They have books on divorce & death as well as talking about sex with young kids. It really does depend on the topic you need- you can find almost anything on the internet and I'm sure if you check with your local library children's department they would be more than willing to help you.

  • It depends on the topic. What do you need?

  • Check with the Library - it all depends. Maybe a topic you find hard to discuss is more an internal issue than a tough topic (how do you feel about the topic - what is your experience with it and does that affect the way you feel about it?) and may not be as tough as you think or your child to understand/accept/deal with.
