Anyone use Playtex Expandable Drop-Ins????

Im a bit confused on reading the bottle and measuring the water. The bottle side that is for the expandable has 8 as the highest ounce, so how does it expand to 10 ounces?? I dont want to measure the water and formula wrong, so for now Im measuring the water in a measuring cup and pouring it into the drop ins and then adding the formula. Anyone know anything about these???

  • always measure your water & formula in a real measuring cup to avoid this confusion. It's the correct way to do it and also the way the instructions say to do it.

if the sides of the liner (expandable or not) are pushed in anywhere, then your measurements will be wrong.

  • Check on which kind of drop ins (liners) you purchased. There are two sets of numbers on the side of the bottle. One set goes to 6 and the other set goes to 8. If you're using the expandable drop ins (i.e. they expand to 10 oz), then always use the set of numbers that goes to 8. The ounces are correct and if you want 10 full ounces, then fill all the way to the top. Does that make sense? If you have the regular drop ins (i.e. NOT expandable) use the set of numbers that goes to 6 and if you want 8 oz, fill to the top.
